Florence was the most sweetest of women. I first met her when she was in hospital in 2007, she had just lost her husband Kazys and was very low, following further discussions with Florence she explained she wanted to go to a nursing home. When she had, had more time to think about things she decided to go home with a full care package. Florence explained she wanted to go home to be surrounded with the memories of Kazys, she still had up the 100th birthday cards and the card from the queen was still on her mantlepiece. She loved her husband so much and wanted to be surrounded with his memories.
After setting up a full care package, I arranged for her to go home. Florence you looked so at home when you got back. You had your last dying wish and that was to stay at home. I am so pleased you managed for 10 months.
What I am upset about is that after ended my involvement with you. nobody let me know you had passed away, even though I kept coming to see you. I found out that on the 09-12-08 you were found to be unresponsive by the home carers and died that night. I just wish Florence I could have said goodbye my love. Even though we were not related you were like a second nan to me. I lost you both within a few days.
I am gutted sweetheart but will go on!! I will remember all our times together. Florence as you know Kazys always called you his kitty. I am happy you are reunited as I know you were forever in love.
I created this page as Florence had no family.
Goodnight sweetheart - I am happy you got your final wish, to be reunited with you husband. I miss you xx
